Caviar Lime female weed seeds by Grounded Genetics is a genetic cross using the globally celebrated Lemonnade. Lemonnade has been loved by countless connoisseurs thanks to her mouth-coating zingy lemon peel terps and how it perfectly perfect translates the fragrance to the taste. This moreish terp profile leaves your palate stained with citrus hits. Frequently credited for bringing the true lemon terps out of the cannabis plant, so of course, this was an excellent choice for dusting with the reversed Bacio (Gelato 41) pollen to create the Caviar Lime.
As Grounded Genetics undertook their vigorous testing procedures on their Bacio donor pollination, they noticed it consistently lent recessive traits in the progeny: improving the density of the flower and increasing the purple hues and dramatically increasing the potency levels and resin production. Within the progeny, you'll find a wide array of phenotypes representing a balanced combination of both parents' terpene profiles, which emphasise the candied lemon head flavours from the Lemonnade and the creamy gassy notes from the Gelato 41. Thankfully the offspring produced outshines the parents, which is Grounded Genetics' criteria for any seed to be released, and the Caviar Lime has aced this checkbox with flying colours.
Grounded Genetics undertook an initial round of testing from seeds and then selected a bunch of keepers to run for their second run from the clone. These phenotypes all displayed stunning colours to the flower without any environmental factors influencing it, ranging from rich purples to radiant pinks. The keeper phenos tended to emit heavy lemon aromas in the early veg stage, and overall most expressions are fairly straightforward to grow, and their yields more than exceeded expectations. The resin production has also been improved significantly compared to the Lemonnade mother used in the cross.
The terpenes are complex and distinct from what is currently available on the market, making this stand out against the crowd, and it might be an exciting alternative to the flavours commonly represented in extracts.
Legal growers should expect a 2x stretch and are likely to need to have support due to its chunky bud structure and high yields; the optimum harvest window is 8.5-9 weeks for the best terpene profile.
